Wk 13: AI in Social Media

 AI has been growing very rapidly in it's use in most recent times. Now it just recently became a new tool for social media. Before AI was found on online website or specific AI apps. But now we are seeing it a lot on social media. More specifically is there if you don't know what to write it can say "Generate a description with AI" or there is a chat box if you ever need help finding something through social media. This is all a lot and I can only imagine what comes next with all of this. 

Now my thoughts on this isn't necessarily too 'crazy' as many would react to this. But I do think that we aren't prepared for what it can turn. In general, now in the social media aspect I think it can be useful for example if you want to find something specific on social media more for a help chat box. I think that is very helpful. But in general I do think AI can be scary because it can trick your mind into not knowing what is real or fake. This can become dangerous. 

Posts generated through AI is another thing we should look out for because  we know it isn't genuine. It's not real or coming directly from a person. This then makes you think about how social media was made to connect with others but with the use of AI that can become a farther reality soon. This is why it is very dangerous for future and current generations. 

In overall I would have to say AI in social media is very tricky because we don't know for far it can go and all the possibilities there is. But for now AI isn't too dangerous and all that we know of it a lot of people are becoming more aware of it and are against it but at the end it all depends on how you educate yourself about this topic.
