Week 1: My Blog Theme
This blog will eventually be a place I come back to often to write about different things. Knowing I will come back to it often, I wanted to make sure that I felt comfortable and knew this felt like me as much as I could. I am a person who rather prefers to be minimalist, the idea of it is quite de-stressing to me. My blog may be simple to some but I feel like it represents me a lot. Simple but with a touch of things I like.
Throughout the design of my blog as I tried to incorporate other things that let others know more about me. When you first look at my blog you can see an image of a fawn laying down in the grass. You may ask why I choose this, the reason is first deers/fawns have always been one of my favorite animals. Although I do have a lot of favorite animals deers are particularly my all time favorite. Because of this I knew that I had to incorporate them in this design.
This felt very important to me, now when I was searching through the internet for an image of a deer I was brought with many different ones. Not going to lie it was hard choosing one because there were so many to choose from. But then suddenly I spotted the image that is now in my blog and immediately knew that it would fit very well. I think the image in overall sums up what 'vibe' I was going for. Which is minimalist, this image also brings a pop of color to the whole blog as there isn't much colors but this felt like it brought it all together.
A place I often go to if I feel like I need to think about things is the park. I feel like laying down in the grass brings me peace and clarity (although I usually bring a blanket because I am scared of bugs). This deer looks like it was enjoying laying down in the grass which reminded me that I also enjoy it a lot too. Lastly one last detail I want to discuss which is very hard to see is the color I picked out which is pink.
Pink has always been one of my favorite colors since I can remember and I knew I had to add it to my blog. This is a very subtle detail that is probably not very noticeable but it is part of who I am as a person. Pink adds so much color and brings me the most joy and that is what my ultimate goal for this blog was. The details that I ultimately added where very small but I feel like they are apart of who I am and my personality. So throughout my explanation I hope you got to know a little about me through this introduction and explanation of my blog.
Hi Julissa, I like the image of the deer that you added. The color pink you added makes it easier for me to read what you have written. I like your blog as it gives off the minimalist feel.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed how your blog felt right from the start — soft, calm and welcoming. The pink color brings everything together and creates such a peaceful space. I also like the simplicity of your design because I’m a minimalist too, so I can relate to keeping things clean while still making them personal. It’s quite the opposite of my theme which is my comfortable environment however, yours makes me feel comfortable as well, like anything written here will be an enjoyable read.
ReplyDeleteHey Julissa, I enjoyed your blog theme, and I can agree with you that it brings a comforting and calm vibe. I appreciate how you connected your experience at the park with the deer. Overall, I like the minimalist feel to your blog.
ReplyDeleteHi Julissa. What a soft, simple, and lovely blog theme...that sweet little fawn make me feel like I am wrapped in a warm embrace. The color is soft and aesthetically appealing. I appreciate the minimalism as life is busy enough.
