Wk 6: My Instagram Page

Instagram is one of the apps I use the most so I thought it would be easier to make a new accounts. I would say it wasn't totally hard but it also wasn't too easy. There are a lot of differences in creating a business account with instagram compared to facebook. Here in instagram the only thing that is defining you is your logo because you don't have a banner. The next thing is the bio which I was able to express myself more on facebook here on instagram there was a shorter limit which was a bit of a bummer since I felt like the bio is what truly represents the business or get a glimpse as to how it truly is.

Moving on from the creating part of the page, here you have to change your account from a regular account to a professional account. That part confused me a bit because I though it would immediately make it into a business account but it didn't before you made it a business account you have to pick your 'niche' or what you categorize as so I just put coffee shop. I thought this would be the most fitting. But through a professional account your activity is more accessible to you. Here you can see how your account is doing and even though you can't see who's seen your account you get an estimate of how many people have seen it.

In overall this experience of making this account was very interesting, but at the same time I think it was a good practice.  I have never done this before I am learning more and more about other sides of social media that I haven't explored before. All of this experience will be very useful in the future if I ever decide to do something relating to social media and the use of it. I really hope that I can learn a lot more about everything that I still have to learn about social media.
