Wk 4- My Business and My brand
When I think of me having my own business something that always come to mind is a coffee shop. I personally love coffee a lot. I like to try different coffees, different roast and flavors of coffee. I also really enjoy visiting different coffee shops and I know a lot of people really enjoy that too. All of this always get's me thinking if I ever have a business I want it to be a coffee shop.
When coming up with different ideas to essentially design a logo. There were many that came to mind but there was one in particular that stood out. Finally I came to the conclusion of the name which had to be the first step even before designing the logo. The name I choose was "Berry Brew Coffee". I decided on this because first berry is kind of my last name well translated which I really like and also I really like all sorts of berries. Also berry sounds like very which I thought rhymed well with very brew.
I think in overall not just the name but what I want to offer to customers is truly authentic to who I am. As Professor Claudia said offering something you are enthusiastic about truly shows through your business. That was ultimately my goal and it is to offer something that I know I really like and I know others will too. I want it to be a comforting place where people can feel cozy and enjoy everything that it offers. In this coffee shop I not only will offer different coffees but also some pastries maybe in the berry theme as it is the name of the shop.
Going back to the logo, I want it to have some fun and unique colors that we don't often see. But I know they will be eye catching. I went with Pink and Navy. Pink is a very attractive color to the eye and mind which will firstly get people to want to maybe look in and see what the coffee shop offers. Then I went with navy because it reminded me of some berry colors such as blueberries and blackberries. Pink can be associated with rasberries and strawberries. I want to keep it very intentional with the theme. I was going to use brown for the word coffee in my logo but I though that was a bit traditional (which there isn't anything wrong with it being traditional) but I wanted to do something different. That was a little about how I envision my business one day. Below will be my logo.
